Houdini Movie

Houdini MovieThe famous escape artist and magician Harry Houdini will the focus of a movie. Sony Pictures intend indeed to develop a movie based on the life of the magician. It wouldn't be a real biopic, but rather a fiction based on Houdini's real-life hobby to expose superstitious frauds. There's no official release date yet.

For those who don't know him, Harry Houdini (born Erik Weisz; March 24, 1874 – October 31, 1926) was a Hungarian-born American magician and escapologist, stunt performer, actor and film producer noted for his sensational escape acts. He was also a skeptic who set out to expose frauds purporting to be supernatural phenomena.

Plot:
"The film sees Houdini striving to expose a troubled, beautiful spiritualist as a fraud. As he becomes obsessed with her, he starts to believe she's authentic, only to uncover what appears to be a tragic scam."

Scriptwriter Scott Frank (who brought us Minority Report and Marley & Me) has been hired to pen a the script of the Houdini movie. And from what I heard Director Francis Lawrence (who helmed Water For Elephants and I Am Legend) is attached to the project.

Who do you think could play the lead role as the magician Harry Houdini?

Anyway, stay tuned with us for more details about the movie Houdini!
